Swapping ETH to SUI moves value from Ethereum's mature but fee-heavy L1 into the Move-based, parallel-execution Sui chain. Common motivations: deploying capital into Sui DeFi (Cetus, NAVI, Scallop), minting on Sui NFT markets, or rotating into a lower-cap L1 with sub-second finality. A no-KYC aggregator lets you compare live rates across 17 swap services without surrendering ID for what is fundamentally a cross-chain transfer.

What makes ETH -> SUI specific

ETH and SUI live on incompatible execution environments. Ethereum is EVM and account-based; Sui uses the Move VM with an object-centric model, so there is no shared address format and no native bridge that 'just works' between the two. Every swap here is effectively: send ETH on Ethereum mainnet (or an L2 if the service supports it), receive native SUI on the Sui mainnet at a generated 0x... Sui address.

Practical characteristics:

  • Ethereum-side gas dominates cost. Sending ETH from L1 during congested periods can cost more than the Sui-side delivery fee combined.
  • Sui finality is roughly sub-second once the swap service broadcasts, so the bottleneck is almost always Ethereum confirmations (typically 12-30 blocks required).
  • SUI liquidity across no-KYC venues is decent but thinner than ETH-BTC or ETH-SOL. Expect wider spreads on amounts above ~5 ETH equivalent.
  • Some services route ETH from Arbitrum or Base at much lower gas - check the deposit network before sending.

Choosing a service for this pair

Things that actually matter:

  • Deposit network options: L1 ETH vs Arbitrum/Base/Optimism. Wrong network = lost funds.
  • Destination address validation: confirm the service checks Sui address checksums, not just length.
  • Float vs fixed rate: fixed locks the quote but charges a premium; float gives a better mid-rate but can deliver less SUI if ETH dumps during your confirmation window.
  • Refund address policy. If the swap fails or you under/overpay, an EVM refund address must be set before sending.
  • Min/max limits. SUI pairs often have lower ceilings than majors due to liquidity.

Tips: time the swap when Ethereum base fee is under ~15 gwei, size into one transaction rather than splitting (each ETH send pays L1 gas), and verify the Sui receive address in your wallet before broadcasting - SUI addresses are 32 bytes hex and easy to misread.

// preguntas
Can I send ETH from an L2 like Arbitrum or Base?
Some aggregated services accept ETH on Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, or zkSync, which dramatically reduces gas. Check the deposit network selector before generating an address. If a service only lists 'ETH' without specifying network, assume Ethereum mainnet - sending L2 ETH to a mainnet address will result in lost funds.
How long does an ETH to SUI swap actually take?
End-to-end typically 5-15 minutes. Most of that is Ethereum confirmations (services usually wait 12-30 blocks, ~3-7 minutes). The Sui-side payout itself confirms in under a second once broadcast. Float-rate swaps may settle faster than fixed-rate, since fixed-rate services sometimes hold for additional internal checks.
Why does the SUI amount I receive differ from CoinGecko's ETH/SUI rate?
Aggregator quotes include the swap service's spread (typically 0.4-1.5%), network fees on both sides, and liquidity routing costs. SUI is also a thinner market than majors, so larger swaps experience more slippage. Comparing 17 services side-by-side is the only reliable way to find the actual best effective rate.
Do I need a Sui wallet before swapping?
Yes. You need a Sui-compatible wallet (Sui Wallet, Suiet, Phantom's Sui mode, Nightly, etc.) to generate a receive address starting with 0x and 64 hex chars. Ethereum addresses are 40 hex chars - they look similar but are not interchangeable. Sending to an EVM address formatted as Sui will fail validation or lose funds.
Is there a way to swap without KYC at larger amounts?
Most no-KYC services on the comparison cap individual swaps somewhere between 2-20 ETH equivalent before triggering a 'compliance review'. To move larger size without ID, split across multiple services or sessions, or use float-rate routes which often have higher ceilings than fixed-rate. Limits change frequently - the live table reflects current caps.
What happens if ETH price moves while my transaction is confirming?
On a fixed-rate swap, the service absorbs the move (within a tolerance band, often 1-3%); outside that band the swap converts to float or refunds. On a float-rate swap, you receive SUI based on the rate at the moment of execution, not quote time - so a falling ETH means less SUI delivered. Set a refund address regardless.
