Key marketed features: no signups, no KYC, no email — just connect wallet/send crypto and receive the pair, plus a "Houdini-style" Private+ Mode that uses Monero (XMR) as a shielded intermediary to break on-chain links between source and destination. Marketed transaction limits up to 1 BTC per BTC→XMR transaction with larger sizes available on request. Trustpilot rating ~4 across 15 reviews. This is the critical contradiction in Baltex's positioning, and it's entirely on their own published FAQ.The marketing copy says "No sign-ups, no KYC — swaps run fully wallet-to-wallet" and the Private+ Mode is pitched as breaking all chain analysis. But the FAQ acknowledges, in the platform's own words: "We aim to make transactions as seamless as possible, but in some cases, we may ask you to pass a verification procedure. We know the process can feel inconvenient, but every step helps make the crypto space safer and more secure for everyone by keeping bad actors at bay." And: "in certain cases, we can't process the refund until the KYC process is fully completed or the review is finished. We're actively working with agencies and regulators... we can't provide an exact timeline for when everything will be resolved." This is the standard "shotgun KYC" pattern — same as ChangeHero, Quickex, Exolix, StealthEX — and it sits awkwardly alongside the privacy-maximalist marketing language. The FAQ even admits the platform is "actively working with agencies and regulators to make the crypto space safer and more transparent" while the homepage promises "Don't let your freedom shrink." The Private+ Mode also doesn't override this: even if your transaction routes through XMR, if the AML system flags the deposit, the verification request still applies before refund or release.
