Routes orders through multiple major exchanges as liquidity providers, has Android app availability, and generally positive Trustpilot sentiment for everyday small-to-medium swaps. Also offers fiat purchases via Mercuryo, Simplex, and Guardarian — no KYC for fiat purchases under $700 total per user; KYC required above that threshold. No KYC for the standard crypto-to-crypto swap flow in most cases — but StealthEX has a notably more aggressive AML practice than its marketing suggests, classed by independent reviewers as "shotgun KYC": may request KYC and block funds based on automated triggers. Per the platform's own statements, KYC/AML procedures are required in rare cases when liquidity providers blacklist a user's wallet or when suspicious transactions occur. To pass the KYC process, users must provide a photo of identification and, in some cases, proof of fund ownership. In practice the threshold isn't always rare — Trustpilot has multiple recent reports of a 1.2 BTC swap seized immediately after deposit with KYC demanded; the user completed all requirements and submitted source of funds, but funds were still frozen with only the explanation that "their AML system flagged my transaction", and another of a 6 ETH swap locked for ID verification followed by extensive questions about source of funds. The terms are also unusually intrusive for a no-signup service: the exchange will postpone transactions and hold funds if a user fails to provide requested KYC documents or proof of wealth, which may result in unilateral termination. User data — including copies of personal IDs, IP addresses, chat logs, and video/audio E-verification recordings — are retained for at least 5 years post-account closure. For enhanced due diligence or specific flags (high-value transactions or PEP status), users will be forced to submit documentation proving the legal origin of their funds and total wealth. The KYC procedure itself runs through a third-party website that frequently exhibits technical failures, with no alternative methods provided, and StealthEX does not always inform users of the option to refuse KYC and get a refund within 24 hours per their liquidity provider's policy.
