About BasicSwap
BasicSwap is a decentralised, non-custodial peer-to-peer exchange (DEX) built on atomic swaps, from the Particl project. It has no accounts, no KYC and no central operator — traders meet directly across chains and the blockchains themselves settle the swap.
How it works
You run BasicSwap as self-hosted software (or through an integrating wallet) and are matched peer-to-peer. Atomic swaps guarantee that either both legs complete or neither does, so no counterparty can run off with your coins. It supports Bitcoin, Monero, Litecoin, Particl, Dash and more, with zero protocol fees.
Privacy and trust
Because it is fully non-custodial and account-free, there is nothing to freeze, no ID to hand over and no logs to leak. It is the most trust-minimised option in this directory — at the cost of self-hosting and peer-dependent liquidity. Listed for reference only: notkyc does not route swaps through BasicSwap.
