About ChangeNOW
ChangeNOW is a non-custodial instant cryptocurrency exchange and aggregator that has operated since 2017. It lets you swap between more than 1,200 coins and tokens without registration, without an email, and without identity verification for standard swaps. Instead of holding an order book, ChangeNOW routes every trade to partner liquidity and forwards the output straight to your own wallet.
How swapping on ChangeNOW works
Pick the coin you are sending and the coin you want to receive, enter an amount, and ChangeNOW returns a live estimate. You choose a floating rate (follows the market until your deposit confirms) or a fixed rate (locks the quote for a short window in exchange for a slightly wider spread). You then send your coins to a one-time deposit address, and the exchanged funds arrive at the address you provided — no account, no dashboard, no waiting on approval.
Privacy and no-KYC
Standard swaps on ChangeNOW require no account and no ID. Monero (XMR) is supported in both directions, making it a practical route for private trades such as BTC to XMR and XMR to BTC. Be aware that ChangeNOW runs an AML risk engine: a minority of transactions flagged as high risk — for example coins traced to mixers or sanctioned sources — may be held for verification. It is not blanket KYC, but it is not a guarantee either, so review the no-KYC track record before sending large amounts.
What to know before you swap
- Two rate types: floating for the best market price, fixed to lock the quote.
- Refund address: always provide one — if a swap can't complete, funds return there.
- Network matters: confirm the deposit network (e.g. ERC20 vs TRC20 vs BEP20) matches your coin before sending.
- Limits: each pair has a minimum and, sometimes, a maximum; the swap table shows them.
- AML risk: avoid sending mixer-tainted or sanctioned-source coins, which are the usual cause of holds.
- Non-custodial routing: ChangeNOW forwards to your wallet rather than keeping balances.
Common use cases
ChangeNOW is a strong default for everyday swaps across major assets. Popular routes include ETH to XMR, USDT to BTC, and BTC to LTC. Compare its live rate against other no-KYC venues on the Swap page and pick the best offer for your pair.
