What is a no-KYC crypto exchange?▼
A no-KYC crypto exchange is a platform that allows you to trade, swap or buy cryptocurrency without requiring identity verification. You don't need to provide a passport, ID, selfie or any personal documents.
Is it legal to use no-KYC crypto exchanges?▼
In most countries it is legal to use non-custodial exchanges and DEX platforms that don't require KYC. However, laws vary by country. Always check the regulations in your jurisdiction. [NOT]KYC does not provide legal advice.
What is the difference between a DEX and a centralized no-KYC exchange?▼
A DEX (decentralized exchange) runs on smart contracts with no central operator — no one can freeze your funds or shut it down. A centralized no-KYC exchange is operated by a company but chooses not to require ID. DEXs are generally more private but may have less liquidity.
Can I buy Bitcoin (BTC) without KYC?▼
Yes. Several services listed on [NOT]KYC allow you to buy or swap Bitcoin without identity verification. Look for exchanges with the NO KYC badge. You can also use P2P platforms to buy BTC with cash anonymously.
How do I swap XMR (Monero) without KYC?▼
You can swap XMR on no-KYC platforms listed on this site. Simply choose a service, enter your wallet addresses, send the source coin and receive XMR — no account, no ID required. Always check the service rating and reviews before using.
How do I know if an exchange actually won't ask for KYC?▼
Marketing claims aren't enough. [NOT]KYC keeps a real no-KYC track record: after each swap, users report whether the exchange asked for KYC or ID. On every exchange page, and on the no-KYC track record page, you can see how many recent swaps stayed anonymous (green) versus were asked for verification (red) — so you pick exchanges with a proven record, not just a "no-KYC" label.
Where can I swap crypto without KYC?▼
Open the Swap page to compare live rates across no-KYC exchanges, then check the no-KYC track record to see which ones actually stayed anonymous in recent real swaps. Pick a top-ranked exchange, enter your wallet addresses and swap — no account or ID required.
What do the service scores A / B / C / F mean?▼
A — trusted service: operates without KYC, strong reputation, long history with no incidents.
B — reliable service: generally no KYC, but may occasionally request verification; minor reputation concerns.
C — use with caution: nominally no KYC, but has notable caveats — limits, opaque policies or a questionable history.
F — not recommended: known for scams, data leaks, frozen funds or forced identity verification.

How do I compare exchange rates?▼
Open the Swap page, pick the coin you give and the coin you want, enter an amount, and you'll see live rates from multiple no-KYC exchanges sorted best-first.
How do I register on [NOT]KYC?▼
Click the sign in button in the top right corner, then select create account. Enter a nickname (3–20 characters, a-z 0-9 _ -), a password of at least 8 characters, and your PGP public key. No email required.
How do I get a verified badge?▼
The verified badge is awarded by admins. When you leave a review with a proof-of-use (transaction hash or order ID), your comment receives a verified mark. The profile badge is assigned manually for trusted community members.
How do I change my PGP key?▼
Go to your profile, scroll to the PGP section and click "request PGP change". Enter your new PGP public key and the reason for the change. An admin will review and approve or reject it. You can only have one pending request at a time.

// swap insurance (notkyc guarantee)
Are swaps made through [NOT]KYC insured?▼
Swaps you create through our website are covered by the [NOT]KYC Guarantee. If for some reason you do not receive your funds — and the exchange does not provide us sufficient proof of an unusually high AML risk, or that the transfer was blocked by their liquidity provider's AML system — we will reimburse you up to the insured amount. This amount varies between exchanges: hover or click the 🛡 shield icon next to each exchange in the Swap table to see its coverage. Exchanges shown with a "—" instead of a shield are not covered. Trades blocked because of high AML risk, or funds that came from mixers, are also not covered by the Guarantee, as those are generally considered very high AML risk by most providers.
How do I claim the Guarantee, and what is not covered?▼
To get compensation, contact us by email or Telegram with your swap's order ID. We'll talk to your chosen exchange and try to solve your problem. Failing that — and if the exchange doesn't provide us sufficient proof that the transaction was halted due to a police request, legal order or unusually high AML risk — we'll reimburse your transaction up to the amount defined when your trade was created. The whole process can take a week or a bit longer, as we first try to sort things out with the exchange.
So please be aware that:
• The Guarantee does not cover cases where funds are blocked due to proven AML issues, as this could be abused to launder illicit funds.
• The refund process can take a week or longer, as we'll first try solving your issue with the partner exchange.
